Week 3 is a magical week for Movember.
But sometimes everyone needs a little Mo-Tivation. So I present to you the best of the 80’s moustaches:
If you’re not aware: this is Darren Henwood week. Today, you can listen to him record our most offensive podcast to date right here on 9to5 (dot cc). Thursday, November 17th you can see him as part of the Liar Liar show and Friday, November 18th you can go to his basement and witness the awe and power of his ongoing comedy show “Low Down Comedy.” Yeah, you should probably click all of these links if you know what’s good for you. Go to the shows too.

My chin is exposed like never before. The wind hits it like a cold slap, every morning when I step outside. But after a few days of Babyface Scott, the Mo is starting to come in nicely. In celebration of this, I wore me creep-o tinted glasses today.
That’s right. I’m gonna be rockin’ the horseshoe.
You can support me with words in the comments. You can support the cause with money here:

This is seriously happening to me, again and again… right now. FUCK.
The day is half done, and I have a shit ton of work to do. Not mentioned in this comic is the fact that I made this comic instead of working also.
Sometimes, attention deficit disorder is a superpower, today it is my Kryptonite.

Wow, that is a mouthful of a title. First off, I just want to point out that Jack Layton’s death trended worldwide yesterday. I thought that was nice. Considering that the London Riots couldn’t hold a top spot in Google Trends while they were happening says a lot about people’s browsing habits. It’s good to see people actually taking notice to a pretty a major death even though it didn’t directly impact their own country. Good on you world. Good on you.
Of course, there was an earthquake today. You can tell because 5 out of the top 10 Google searches in America are earthquake related. I recommend clicking that link to see photos of the devastation. Just kidding, it’s just a series of photos that largely centers around people standing around looking slightly concerned that they’ve been forced to leave their offices in the middle of the day and maybe they didn’t lock their workstations and maybe
their boss didn’t evacuate and has discovered their browsing history mostly consists of craigslist and reddit. Wouldn’t know what that’s like. The rest of the people in those photos seem to be enjoying the afternoon off. I also like that the LA Times is reporting on the 5.9 quake the way Sports Illustrated would report on your kid’s soccer game this Saturday. “Pssh, amateurs.”
Libya! I can’t believe that I wrote about this conflict 6 months ago and only now, in August, is it coming to a conclusion. This is a little more newsworthy than an earthquake. ↓ Read the rest of this entry…

So, I really enjoy poring over the stats from the website over at Google Analytics. Obviously it’s a new website so every day is a constant battle to generate and maintain hits. We’ve nearly broken 1000 unique vistors and only really “switched on” the website 2 weeks ago. We’re not a company, we’re 4 friends. So this is pretty encouraging for us as we try to turn goofing off and having fun into something productive.
Anyhow, I particularly like to notice strange little singularities in the stats, small parts of the world where there seems to be a single person enjoying what we do. One such person appears to be in Nijmagen, in the Netherlands or Pays Bas as they say in French. He (or she) I guess has only visited us a handful of times, but she (or he) seems to keep coming back and always sticks around for a few minutes. Which is cool.
In honour of this mystery person from the Netherlands digging our site I have drawn a picture of what it might be like if I visited the Nijmegen railway bridge entirely in MS Paint. Enjoy.
Over at today’s comic, the following exchange happened between Sophie and Keith:
Keith: Oh yeah Soph, can I post a pic of you as Hulk Hogan? Since it ties in with today’s comic.
Sophie: yes. yes you can. everyday you can. me as hulk hogan should be the face of the website. that`s what all the comics should be about. because it is awesome.
As such, I feel honour-bound to present to you the following:
Once Sophie made her statement, this was the only logical conclusion to this saga. I was powerless to stand in its way, and served merely as a tool in its creation. I can do no more, as it has now reached its zenith in western civilization.
