GPYS Annual $#!t Show 2021!

For 2021 we kept things a little more low key than usual for our annual shit show. I think 4 people is tied with our smallest previous shit show but I’m too lazy to go back into the expansive GPYS archives to verify that claim. Why? Well, if you haven’t noticed the entire province (nay country, nay planet) is a bit of shit show right now so in a way, maybe this is  the biggest shit show ever?

Walter, Lawrence, Chris and I have a few drinks, spark a few joints and let hot takes fly with abandon. We talk pandemic, steaks, waiters, New Year’s specials and more as we try to stay positive about what 2022 might have in store for us and decide what we want to leave behind in 2021.

With everything shut down it does beg the question about what our next episode will be. Will it be another episode of “Go Quarantine Yourself” or will there be something to plug for the traditional “Go Plug Yourself”? Who knows man. In these unprecedented, uncertain times the only way to have any kind of certainty is to LIKE AND SUBSCRIBE BABY.

9ES 251 – 2021 Year in Review!

2021 is over and the Montreal geek podcast that isn’t going to say something cheesy like “at least the year is over” because we are afraid of what 2022 might have in store for us is back to review 2021!

Spoiler alert: It more or less sucked!

However, we do manage to find some positivity and we try to lift your mood a little as we run down our favorite movies, tv shows and news stories from the year that was “Year 2” of a global pandemic.

I’m not gonna lie, they just announced another curfew and lockdown here in Quebec and it’s hard to stay positive about anything these days but I really do enjoy making this show with Scott and Jon and it means a lot when someone tells me they listen and dig what we’re doing.

That said, we are all trying to keep our chin up and stay afloat here and I really wish you and your loved ones all the best. This sucks guys, hang in there and hopefully this dumb podcast amuses you. It’s weird for me to kind of be speechless but here we are. I just got to believe that at some point all this pandemic shit will be in the rear view for good (until the next one anyhow).

The Go Plug Yourself 2018 $#!% Show!

The greatest New Year’s podcasting tradition in Montreal continues with the latest installment of the Go Plug Yourself New Year’s Shit Show! This year we welcome comedians Inés Anaya, Daniel Carin and Vance Michel and professional wrestlers The Arsenal and The Green Phantom to have a few beers and reminisce about the year that was 2018.  As always this one gets a little sloppy so sit back, press play, and enjoy the sounds of a rowdy group of people at the back of a bar talking nonsense.
