The Montreal arts & entertainment podcast that asks comedian and producer Raquel Maestre: “What’s something you can’t do that you that you wish you could?” That question asked as always by Dan Carin back in episode 293.
When we last spoke to Raquel Maestre on the show back in episode 261 she was still relatively new to the comedy scene. Fast forward to 2024 and she’s producing multiple hit comedy shows like “A Very Pretentious Comedy Show” (which is about to go on hiatus so be sure to check out the next edition this Sunday March 31st at Café La Ligne Verte) along with the weekly Poly Mic at Notre Dame de Quilles on Beaubien.
But that’s not all! I mentioned that “A Very Pretentious Comedy Show” would be going on hiatus but here’s the exciting part where I tell you why: Raquel Maestre is bringing a one-woman show to this year’s Montreal Fringe Festival!
*applause break*
Anyhow, she’s got plenty to plug and that’s the name of the show so obviously we spend time talking about obscure video games like Victoria 3 and Basketball Manager – all the fun of spreadsheets in a video game! We also get introduced to a Spanish Sesame Street character named Espinete! And Walter J. Lyng is co-hosting! So sit back and relax (even if you’re on your bicycle) and enjoy episode 294 of Go Plug Yourself with Raquel Maestre!
Enjoy the show!
