The Montreal podcast that asks Dan Bingham, Senior Writer on Far Cry 6: “What cult piece of media would you recommend?” – as asked by Sam Fairbrother back in episode 240.

For some reason or another the Far Cry games have a way of getting plugged here on Go Plug Yourself. Whether it be Michael Mando coming on the show to talk about being Vaas in Far Cry 3 or Creative Director Alex Hutchinson on the show to talk about Far Cry 4 it is no secret that we love Far Cry and we love that these games have strong ties to Montreal video game makers.

So it was that I was delighted to get a call from Walter asking “Hey, do you want to have one of the writers of Far Cry 6 on the show?” Obviously I said yes and here we are.

Dan Bingham was (and likely soon will be again) a Montreal stand-up comedian who found a way to turn a passion for writing and video games into a career of writing video games. We talk all about the different layers and challenges of writing a game the size and scope of a game like Far Cry and we also talk about surgery quite a bit (in our defense Dan is at home recovering from a major hip surgery).
