The Montreal podcast that asks the cast of “The Adoption”: What’s a story of you being romantically rejected? That question submitted by fellow Montreal Fringe performer Leighland Beckman back in episode 256.
The St-Ambroise Montreal Fringe Festival is in full effect with A-Z programming starting TODAY! The Fringe Park is open, shows are happening live and in person and it is really starting to feel like festival season is finally back in Montreal after 2 long years of being (somewhat) muted by that pesky global pandemic.
One of the hottest tickets at this year’s show is shaping up to be none other than “The Adoption” and we are beyond excited to welcome all three stars to Go Plug Yourself to talk about their upcoming Fringe show. Eve Parker Finley, Nicky Fournier and Amanda McQueen were all gracious enough to join Inés and I at the back of Grumpy’s to take a meandering walk through failed romantic endeavors, fruity pebbles, celebrity crushes and everything in between.
And I meant what I said about “The Adoption” being a hot ticket, the show is already approaching sell-outs on multiple nights so go to MontrealFringe.ca and get your tickets now.
About “The Adoption”
The Adoption is the story of a young person who chooses to become a solo parent to an adopted child – a decision that ripples through their chosen family circle. This play is a short comedy that highlights rituals of belonging, gender-neutral parenting and the dynamic of self-determination and community interdependence.

Enjoy the podcast, then buy your tickets and enjoy The Adoption (and a bunch of other Fringe shows obviously).

Inés Anaya never stops finding ways to be funny: writing for Hindwing Press and The Beaverton, running shows like Stand Up Story Slam and getting on the mic at comedy shows all over the city when it is legally possible to do so. The best way to keep track of what she’s up to next is on Instagram @clout__atlas. She also took that photo.
