The Montreal podcast that asks Borough Mayor of Borough Mayor of Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce Sue Montgomery: “What do you want to do as an adult?” Asked by Léa Philippe and Émilie Allard of the FAR Festival back in episode 237.

Walter steps back into his co-hosting shoes on this episode since he actually lives in NDG which just so happens to be the borough that Sue Montgomery is the mayor of. Walter is also one of the administrators over at Thrive NDG on Facebook so he is an active member of the community.

Despite her station in Montreal politics, we actually speak very little about Sue Montgomery’s political career. Instead we focus on the absolutely fascinating journey that has been her life up to the point of assuming office a few years ago. From traveling abroad, to working the justice beat at The Montreal Gazette to working at a prison, Sue has had a wealth of life experience.

Content Warning: Sue was actually a student at the Brampton Centennial Secondary school in 1975 so we do discuss the tragic topic of school shootings, listener discretion is advised.

And of course be sure to follow Sue on social media. She’s @montgomerysue on Twitter and also on Facebook. Naturally we encourage you to also head out and vote on the Municipal Elections of the City of Montréal on November 6th and 7th in your borough.

Enjoy the show!
