We kick this episode off by talking about the CFO of Bed Bath and Beyond throwing himself out of a window to his death and the resulting ripples of armchair investors trying to recreate the magic of GameStop and navigate just what that suicide might mean for the stonk.

We then move on to what’s really on people’s minds right now: The Netflix adaptation of Sandman.

Now listen, I enjoy most of Neil Gaiman’s work. But I never really got heavily invested into Sandman. My old roommate had most of them so I occasionally read an issue or trade here and there but it never really clicked for me. And while I can recognize its place as an important fixture in the increased popularity of “alternative” comics I’m still not sold on it’s overall quality.

That said, the show is pretty enjoyable.

A part of me is watching it to do my small part to let Netflix know that they should continue to take risky projects and I hope Sandman gets a second season and somehow it also means that Cowboy Bebop comes back too.

This week’s episode of Garbage Time is yet another ultra special garbage spectacular! We apply our scientifically and peer tested list-making methodology to the Saturday Night Live films and rank them from best to worst. Spoiler-alert: they are mostly all the worst. We spend a lot of time trying to determine if Coneheads is funny and whether or not Blues Brothers deserves to be so well regarded. If all that sounds like the best (because it is), show your support and head over to Patreon and subscribe at the 9ES Deluxe tier to listen to this and all past episodes of Garbage Time!
