The Montreal arts and entertainment podcast that asks Angus Byers of The Hypnophonics: “What is your favourite picture of yourself?” That question asked back in episode 250 from Confabulation’s Matt Goldberg. Spoiler alert: the answer to Matt’s question is right there in the episode image (shoutout to Marisa Parisella Photography).
As Angus Byers tells it, his entire life has been guided by a liberal consumption of booze. The hooch lead to both his role as vocalist of The Hypnophonics and as one of Montreal’s most beloved tattoo artist at DFA Tattoos. This is not an endorsement of heavy drinking kids, it’s just a statement of fact. If your name is Angus and you find yourself three sheets to the wind, your life might be about to change.
With more and more venues booking comedy and music shows we decided to ask Angus to come on the show to plug the return of the psychobilly outfit The Hypnophonics to one of Montreal’s most infamous stages: Les Foufounes Electriques. They’ll be opening up for The Creepshow this Friday, April 1st at Foufs, $18 in advance, $20 at the door.
