As I mention in the show it is absolutely insane to me that Matt Goldberg has never been a guest on this show before. I first met Matt back in college, which some listeners may be able to deduce was about 20 years ago. I’ve known Matt Goldberg for 20 years and have had a podcast for over 10 of those years and only now are we having him on as a guest? Insanity.
No wait, I saved him as a guest until this episode for a reason. I wanted our 250th to be special. Yeah, that’s why we’ve waited so long to do this.
I met Matt through improvisation and you may know him from one of Montreal’s premiere improv troupes “Uncalled For”. Uncalled For ruled the Montreal Improv scene with an iron fist for nearly a decade. Matt’s also a gifted storyteller, and several years ago began to produce Confabulation, a storytelling series (and podcast) here in Montreal and in Victoria. With a focus on true stories, without the help of props or gimmicks Confabulation is one of the most consistently honest and authentic theater going experiences you could ask for.
And it’s back! Confabulation has had a few virtual shows in the past few years but this Friday, March 3rd, marks Confabulation’s return to the Centaur Theater. “Confabulation Presents: Good Date, Bad Date” get your tickets here.
