I been watching a lot of retro speed run videos on Youtube. Crazy when you see it on the screen like that, but check it out.
My favorite video games from when I was a kid. Played by people who fucking love those games more than most of us love anything. The kind of persistence and dedication these guys have is probably insane, to work for thousands of hours to shave seconds (or fractions of seconds) off the world record of a 40 year old video game.
Ok so if you think that’s nuts come with me to the next level. A Youtube charity hosts races through games. Races done by people in the speedrunning community. Want to watch two obsessed nerds race through the worst Zelda game?
