Ignorance is oddly idealised in today’s western culture. It sort of baffles me to think that people have voted for national leaders because they felt a candidate was “one of us” rather than the smartest man in the room.
But, at the same time, I think Johnny Knoxville is a top notch entertainer. To each their own.

One of the many changes that’s going on on the site is a new look for “Pictures of Kanye, Words of Noam”. Mostly cosmetic stuff, but I think it cleans up nicely. Look for more Kayne and Noam moving forward.

I drew this several months ago for an art club that Sophie and I belong to. (She’s still going on strong, but I’ve been lazy about it.)
The sketch was decent, but I’m pretty proud of how the design work came together.

I don’t really understand why it was that “dumb” became appealing. Smarts are not desirable.
It weirds me out a little.
Intellectualism aside, how young do you think William and Harry were when they first started to get annoyed by the Spin Doctor’s “Two Princes” song? I would wager it was pretty damned young.

Just sayin’.
Being meaningless is the new way to sell anything to anyone. Don’t take a stand, marketers. That might not have “universal appeal”. Apathy has universal appeal. So the way to sell the most… stuff, be it toothpaste or a political party, is to be a bland and inoffensive as possible.
Either that, or you have to scare the hell out of your clientele.
