9to5 is getting kinda hot here in Lala land, and a few producers see it as the next big thing. That being said we didn’t want any big celebs overshadowing this hot new indie script, and we wanted actors we felt could portray the 9to5 team most accurately. Also Jack Black was such a big fan of the site and the minute he heard we were making a movie he asked to be involved.
9to5 vs Dragon Ninja is inspired by the real events surrounding the origins of 9to5 (dot cc). Here is a brief synopsis.
Upon his return from Afghanistan, Scott finds his neighborhood has deteriorated badly, and is being terrorized by a vicious street gang. He calls some of his GI buddies, members of an elite counter terrorism team and together they discover a conspiracy that runs deeper than they could ever imagine.
