Well folks – just like that another Osheaga has come and gone.

Sarah and I saw 29 bands (I think) collectively over the weekend and went to two afterparties because we are crazy people. But we lived to tell the tale as we always do and now it’s time for the comedown. We talk through all the shows we saw this weekend going and rank our favourites for your listening pleasure.

On a personal note to you (the listener) we did some of our best numbers this year and had the most downloads we’ve ever had for this little show of ours. Thanks so much for the love and support and we’ll see you next year July 31st to August 2nd at Parc Jean Drapeau!

Oh – and our pick for one of the headliners next year? The Foo Fighters (note: we’ve been right zero percent of the time when making these predictions).

It’s time for a very special guest! Patrick Guay is officially *clears throat* Senior Manager, Booking, Concerts and Events at evenko. What does that mean? Well he’s one of the people responsible for putting together the entire lineup of festivals like Osheaga, IleSoniq and Lasso.

What does that mean for you? That means an extra long episode where Sarah and I sit down with Patrick Guay to talk about concerts, festivals and of course a LOT about music. If you were interested in everything that goes on behind the scenes to put together a festival like Osheaga this is the episode for you.

So, just like we did for Osheaga Sarah and I are introducing the first ever edition of our Unofficial Palomosa Podcast.

Sarah and I will be dug into the entire lineup of the inaugural Palomosa to give you music recommendations across both days of the festival. Osheaga Podcast 2024 (Unofficial) – Comedown Edition

That’s a wrap on Osheaga 2024. It’s over. 🙁

We can all go back to our lives now and try to cling to the memories of Osheaga as they fade away like dimming stage lights. Sarah and I took in an absurd amount of bands this year and managed to drag our tired asses over to the Ed Banger 20th Anniversary Party on Saturday night like complete lunatics (watching a back-to-back set of Busy P and Tiga took my right back to my 20s).

Osheaga flew by this year – probably because there was barely a minute between acts we wanted to catch. It was like we got into the gate on Friday afternoon and a long blink later we were cheering for the closing moments of Justice. We saw so many bands and now is the time where we run through the schedule and share our takes with you. Who was awesome? Who sucked? Who are we excited to see next time they come to town? Listen now!

Anyways, this is it until next year family. At least for Osheaga. There’s still plenty of concerts that you can and should be going to all year long between now and then.

Osheaga 2025 takes place August 1st to August 3rd next year and we’ll see you all there!
