Al Lafrance is a busy man. In between starring in “The Ballad of Frank Allen” (on this weekend at Fringe) he’s also self-publishing a book (Haikuna Matata, out this fall) and he seems to have accidentally-on-purpose started “Fessetival de Montreal” which celebrates all of Montreal’s butts in a bid against body shaming in honour of the city’s 375th. No really. All of this is true.

Since Al is going to be leaving us this summer and it’s been like 3 years since we’ve had him on, we are proud to have him back! Enjoy the show!gpys133-allafrance

Go Plug Yourself 37: Al Lafrance (Montreal Fringe Festival)

Sure, I could’ve put all sorts of things up there in brackets after Al’s name. Or I could’ve even put nothing at all since once you see his face you know who we’re talking to. Or rather, once you see his beard you will know who we’re talking to. Al is basically living a life that is bursting at the seams with indie-art credibility and the best part? He still loves wrestling. Although he openly admits he’s more into indie wrestling since I’m pretty sure “indie” has to preface just about everything Al does. He’s basically running the show over at this year’s Fringe Festival, is a head honcho over at Bloody Underrated, has some sort of a fancy office at the Mainline Theater and is also manning the helm over at our arch enemy’s headquarters No More Radio. This interview with Al is also gonna be the kickoff for our series of Fringe episodes that you’ll start to see in the coming weeks! This is total excitement gang.
