Ladyfest kicked off this past Monday but there are a TON of shows coming up this coming Thursday, Friday, Saturday and even Sunday (you should really check out the full lineup here). Deirdre Trudeau and Sara Meleika are some of the talented women putting this amazing celebration of women (and allies) and general hilarity! We talk about a lot of the problems that face women in comedy and women in general. For instance, we spend a good chunk of this podcast trying to figure out what high-school required reading books actually feature a strong female protagonist. Also this show is (obviously) hilarious.
