The Montreal podcast that asks Gern f. Vlchek: Who is your favorite doctor?

At one point in this episode, Walter alludes to the idea that Gern might be kind of a modern day Bukowski and it’s not that crazy. Gern’s socialist beliefs seep into so many of his endeavours and he is a modern renaissance man of artistic output. Storyteller, musician, novelist, bartender (there’s an art in bartending, say otherwise and I will fight you), Gern is an iconic fixture of the Montreal arts scene. He’ll be performing with his latest band “The Vlcheks” this Saturday at 5:00 pm as part of this year’s edition of “Porchfest” on the porch in front of 2309 Oxford in NDG.

He’s got one book out that you could buy right now on Amazon “Turn Right, Turn Left, Repeat” and he has two more books in the pipeline for you toy enjoy.

Honestly, this podcast could have easily been a six parter this guy is basically a collector’s edition box set of amazing stories. Do yourself a favor and check out some of his writing.
