By Jon!

I think I’ve mentioned before but we’ve had some problems with recording with 3 people, for various reasons. This is actually the 4th 9ES podcast, however the real Episode 2 and 3 may forever be lost to time. Episode 2 was completely garbage and scrapped, Episode 3 would’ve been cool because it would’ve included Sophie, but Scott muted his microphone for about 70% of it. It was very sad.

We actually recorded nearly 3 hours of material and I’ve cut it up into 3 podcasts that’ll come out pretty quickly since we missed last week. Here’s the stuff we talk about in this episode:

Intro: We talk about the fact that Scott is now married, the weight of his wedding band is weighing him down.
2:20: We discuss Animal Man past and present, Scott says he’s a B-list hero, I don’t think that’s very fair to Animal Man.
4:55: Moving along into more New 52 stuff, we discuss Suicide Squad, which is awful but readable.
9:15: We discuss Grant Morrison’s Batman and Robin and Lazarus Pits and how you should never fear death. LAZARUS PITS!
10:55: Oh fuck son! Arrested Development is coming back, we’re excited, so should you… be.
15:10: We discuss the nature of comedy and the shittiness of Jeff Dunham.
17:30: I throw out my idea for writing a supernatural teen romance, but you know, I don’t want to spoil it. Twilight conversation ensues, briefly, don’t worry.
19:50: Marty McFly’s shoes are misleading assholes.
21:30: We keep talking about Dark Souls, the joke of course is that only one person from this site will play it.
22:45: I’m playing Resident Evil, I won’t tell you which one.
27:00: Scott poses the question from his little sister about a game she’s wants to play: “Hey Scott, there’s a video game that I can’t remember the name of, I think it was SNES, help me. Only you and I ever played it, it was like a strategy war game with changing landscapes and water, any idea?” We try to answer that question.
30:50: We paused the recording and started arguing about Resident Evil again, this time the film series. The recording sort of jumps back in mid-conversation. This progresses into a general conversation about zombies. The movie we don’t know the name of might be The Plague of the Zombies. Maybe.
37:30: Scott laments the decline of Blockbuster.
47:30: We discuss the film and the soundtrack of the amazing film: Rubber.
50:00: We close out 9ES2 by listening to the new track (at the time) by Justice: Audio, Video, Disco. I quite like it. We’ll discuss it very soon on 9to5 Entertainment System 3 – A 9ES In Time! Ok, it might not be called that at all.
