Well, here it is, the first ever podcast here at 9to5 (dot cc). We’ve named the flagship podcast “9to5 Entertainment System, or 9ES for short. We’re pretty proud of that one folks. This is my first time editing one of these fuckers together, so there are a few minor little technical foibles that I intend to rectify in Episode 2 (overall volume levels should probably be bumped a little).
Anyhow, I’m going to try to get one of these up every 2 weeks, don’t hold me to that though. It’s just want I’m aiming for; I’ll let you know when we have a cemented timeline. So in the meantime, enjoy the podcast by clicking here.
Here’s what we talk about:
4:00: We discuss Marvel Comics 1984 What If comic: What if Captain America Was Awoken Today?
6:40: EA’s NHL 12 Demo is discussed, Sedins fighting Lucic.
8:05: NHL fighters untimely demises, culminates in Keith making some shocking accusations.
10:30: More hockey talk, including the LA Kings, headshots, Marc Savard and Crosby and a comparison between pro hockey players and Pokémon (this is the kind of podcast we run here at 9to5 dot cc).
16:50: Scott does not like Knights of the Old Republic, he does not represent the thoughts and opinions of 9to5 (dot cc).
21:00: Back to hockey talk, Shea Weber’s contract.
23:30: We generally mock the Hardy Boyz (with a “z”), especially Matt, then we make fun of Kevin Nash being a big old man.
32:40: Scott is getting married on a terrible weekend; he wants Stan Lee to show up at the wedding.
37:00: In what may be a recurring feature, we discuss a webcomic I read one time. This naturally transitions into Scott hating on Scott Kurtz.
42:08: Scott is concerned that MTV is selling out, cites Bon Iver as source. Then we talk about Jackass and SNL.
51:00: We touch on the New 52, Keith weeps for the rebooted Harley Quinn.
The song we use in the intro is “Shiny Spaceship” by the 8-bit Ninjas. Used under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike License.
