They Smell Bad on the Inside
Did I write this week?
Hells no I didn’t. However, faithful readers of 9to5 (dot cc) will remember that back on December 20th, I was talking about writing a comic. This is that comic!
Truthfully, this is probably the last thing that I’ve written creatively since that time, and that kind of sucks. However, I just bought my first home and have been orchestrating my first change of home address in over a decade. So you’ll forgive me if I’ve been slacking in my own personal creative (and blogging) goals. Hopefully, with all of this adulting responsibility nearly behind me, February will be a great month of productivity not just for me, but for the site in general. Stay tuned for that.
This strip kicks off my four strip run on the comic.I am mightily pleased that a minor snowstorm coincided directly with its publishing. You can’t teach that. I am (as usual) pretty proud of this run. I’ve spoken at length how much I enjoy writing the strips and I enjoy getting the feedback and ironing out the jokes with the crew. It’s among the most rewarding things ever to see your ideas become jokes then become sweet comics.
There’s a lot of little bits of continuity that we got in here, like for instance, my distaste for being C-3P0. Another important thing is that this is the first time we’ve established just what our house actually looks like after we built it way back in 2013. ALSO WE HAVE A SLIDE.
