So if you’ve been following along at home, we’ve only missed a week or two’s worth of comics since February.

Damn that feels good.

The comic is sort of what kicked off this crazy little thing we call and I’m glad that we’re getting our legs back underneath us in terms of output of it.

I think I’ve written before that getting my head around this new format is kind of tricky. The setup and pacing of a single panel + caption joke is a whole new writing exercise. Plus, we’ve taken to kind of coming up with an additional laugh within the title of the comic.

Anyways, there aren’t many one-panel strips out there and honestly outside of Bizarro and Farside there are even fewer funny one-panel strips.

What I’m trying to say is I read a lot of Family Circus comics to try and get the timing.

And this is what I came up with.

Sophie has been sneaking in kind of famous backgrounds into the last two strips. Did you catch the source of last week’s gaming table? How about this particular bathroom?

Keith does all sorts of things here on, he works with the other founders on 9to5 (illustrated), co-hosts our two podcasts: The 9to5 Entertainment System and Go Plug Yourself and blogs here as The Perspicacious Geek.

Jon is a Master of Dungeons of the highest caliber. He podcasts with me over on 9to5 Entertainment System and occasionally blogs here in Jon’s Junk.

Sophie does all of the arts on 9to5 illustrated and blogs weekly about her adventures with beer in The Ignorant Beer Review.
