Quarter Bin Crazy: Part 1 Sharing with you some of the stranger and more shameful members of his comic collection, here's the first installment of Scott's "Quarter Bin Crazy". 11/29/13 17:07
Go Plug Yourself 48: Adam Reider Again! Adam Reider must really be a sucker for punishment, either that or he just really needs your money to get his short film off the ground. Adam subjected himself to another hour of Walter's disdain in the hopes of raising $2000 for his latest project. Adam's raising money for his latest project "Remain Calm" over at Kickstarter... even better than that, as of this moment he is less than $300 away from his mark! Give him money! See, the first time we blatantly ask for money here at 9to5 (dot cc) and it's for someone else. Just call us Margaret A. Cargill. Look her up. Donate now to Adam's Kicksta... 11/28/13 15:11
Homage A Mort Through the warp and into a whole other mess, the gang continues their fight against the ravenous undead horde. 11/28/13 11:19
Evil Dead The Musical Montreal Just For Laughs Festival, 2004. A much younger (and thinner) Sophie is dragged to a representation of this production somewhat reluctantly.
I don`t need to tell anyone who`s known me longer than a day that i am a huge chicken shit, and cannot stand anything zombie related. Sure, i saw The Trilogy. Did it give me nightmares?
So i was hesitant to see this show, even though it was advertized as a musical comedy.
I was blown away. I laughed the whole way through and went home belting out what i could remember of the songs. I bought the CD when it came ou... 11/28/13 10:23
Je Suis Arrivé Or for those philistines who are not fluent in French “I have arrived”. At least, that is what I am hoping it says. It is entirely possible that it translates to “I have arriving” or “I am arrive”, I am not altogether sure, my grip on tenses were* tenuous at best.
However, the message I am attempting to convey is that I here now, here being Montreal, and I must say I am having an incredible time settling in. The welcome I have received has only been surpassed by the help offered. At every turn I am met with warm people offering their time and assistance. To say I am touched, would be ... 11/25/13 10:00
R.I.P Nick Babeu So last night at work I got a message from Raz saying “Did you hear what happened to Nick?” I had assumed that she was referring to the tragedy of Nick’s father passing on Tuesday. A few hours later I found out that it was even worse: Nick died Wednesday night. A mainstay of the Montreal music scene, Nick brought this city hardcore music for the past ten years with Trigger Effect, a mixture of music and sideshow insanity with Fear and Loathing, battle of the bands where the bands would actually battle each other and also created an amazing concert/comedy/party venue in the form of Turbo Haüs. ... 11/22/13 16:19
9to5 Entertainment System 49: He Doesn't Even Run a City First off, full disclosure: I have no idea where the echo in the audio came from and I don't have time to tweak it the way I usually do. I figured "hey, I'm giving you this for free, deal with it." Second off: That doesn't stop it from being the greatest podcast you've ever heard. Much like episode 48 was the greatest podcast up until this point. I have no doubt that we will once again continue our nonstop streak of topping ourselves in two weeks with the release of episode 50. Suck a dick internet. Enjoy the show.[powerpress]

Cirque-L Jerk: A Review of Cirque Eloize’s Cirkopolis Cirkopolis is the first non-Cirque du Soleil I’ve attended, so obviously is the basis of my comparison. I’ve seen a handful of Cirque du Soleil shows (Alegria, Saltimbanco, Totem and Varekai, maybe some others) so I had an idea of what I was in for. I will say that in terms of quality, it seems that Cirque du Soleil have been on the downswing in my eyes. The older shows in that list (Alegria and Saltimbanco) vastly outshone Varekai and honestly Totem was a huge letdown (I say this comparatively, Totem was still highly entertaining). So, maybe it was time for a change? 11/18/13 22:16
Cafe Chimera So i`ve been hearing some buzz about a new place in NDG, called Cafe Chimera. "It`s a coffee shop and you can play or buy games there!" "Oh my god you haven`t been yet, why not?"
Honestly i had no good excuse not to have visited the shop yet, it`s only a 10 minute walk away from my place. So my next time out doing groceries, I decided to drop in and have a coffee with my Scottish Boy. We pretty much immediately fell in love with the place. The design, the colors and the layout of the entire place, the general atmosphere and the tasty, dear lord it was tasty, tasty coffee. Oh and they have tas... 11/18/13 10:00
